This is a private reference site, not a government office. We cannot confirm custody, release a person, post bond, or retrieve an official booking record. Contact the office responsible for the record or custody question.

Choose the Correct Office

HCSO main office and Central Records: 400 S. Eucalyptus St., Sebring, FL 33870. Central Records may be reached at 863-402-7232, by fax at 863-402-7207, or by email at centralrecords@highlandssheriff.org. The published weekday office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. HCSO lists 863-402-7200 for non-emergency calls and 863-402-7211 for general information.

Highlands County jail: 338 S. Orange St., Sebring, FL 33870. The Florida county-jail directory lists 863-402-7201 for the detention facility. This address is separate from Central Records. Call the jail for current detention procedures, and use Central Records for HCSO arrest, offense, CAD, and related record requests. HCSO advises calling before a records-office trip because deputy reports can take several days to arrive.

Use the route that matches the question:

  • For a booking record or current-inmate photo, follow the home-page search and Central Records steps.
  • For a same-day check, use Arrests Last 24 Hours. For a wider news and booking window, use the Police Blotter.
  • For release or transfer alerts, see the VINELink Custody Check.
  • For a sentenced state prisoner, use the Florida Department of Corrections offender search. Federal and immigration custody require the BOP or ICE locator.
  • For a municipal police report, contact the agency that took it. HCSO states that it does not hold reports taken by Sebring, Avon Park, Lake Placid, or Florida Highway Patrol.
